'The drive from Dornoch to Bonar is one of the pleasantest in the county, the Ross-shire hills on the other side of the firth forming the distant background to a stretch of beautiful landscape, the like of which is not frequently met with. The road passes through the village of Clashmore, a little to the west of which we enter the parish of Creich, which extends for thirty-five miles to the westward along the left bank of the Kyle and River Oikell, and northward to within a quarter of a mile of the railway station at Lairg. The road proceeds by the shore of the firth to the village of Bonar.' (Tourists' Guide, 1883, Hew Morrison).

Creich parish has the following burial grounds:

  • Creich burial ground, Bonar; Tutim burial ground; Achness, Glen Cassley burial ground; Invershin burial ground and Migdale Free Churchyard which only has one grave
